February 2016 GEOBIBLINE database offers new geographic search, available at http://maprank.is.cuni.cz, which allows you to search by a map area of a given map, time of a map origin, map scale and the full text search. Search results, which are connected back to a catalog, are available in reference, where full map information are displayed.

2 March 2015 The Number of bibliographic records in the GEOBIBLINE database reached 200 000. (On March 2, 2015 was the exact number of records 200 536. This number increases every day.)
 

9 February 2015  The GEOBIBLINE database is now accessible also via Charles University E-resources Portal http://bi.cuni.cz/index.php?lang=en . GEOBIBLINE is located in a section "Geography and earth sciences".
 

30 January 2015  from the Charles university repository Digitool http://digitool.cuni.cz/ are now every day automatically attached digitized objects to the GEOBIBLINE bibliographic records.
 

5 January 2015  The GEOBIBLINE database offers a new feature - view the book covers directly in its online catalog - . These images of book covers are accessible through the project http://obalkyknih.cz/. Number of displayed book cover is constantly  dynamically growing.

17. 10. 2014  7 more 2D images were attached to the bibliographic records of work of Jan Felkl.

10. 10. 2014 The information about GEOBIBLINE and downloadable full texts of Geografické rozhledy will now published on a regular basis in the journal Geografické rozhledy(printed version and website).

8. 1. 2014  10 560 bibliographic records, 5 485 full texts and 2 627 URL were added to the to the database Geobibline. Cataloging of 4 profile journals (Acta onomastica, Acta Universitatis Carolinae. Geographica, Geografické rozhledy, Geografie: Sborník ČGS) continued. With this cataloging was added 5 new volumes and 10 new numbers.

18. 12. 2013  The agreement with the Ministry of defence of the Czech republic about providing full-texts to the journal "Vojenský geografický obzor" was concluded.

19. 11. 2013  New links were connected to records in the database GEOBIBLINE as an external link or directly form the Repository of the Charles university. Now there are connected 5 663 full texts (24 books, 6 thesis, 30 graphics, 5 482 maps a 121 manuscripts). The access is possible due to the project TEMAP. 

18. 11. 2013  Database GEOBIBLINE which was presented at the librarians' conference in Olomouc was also mentioned in the article of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. 4. 11. 2013  In November 217 works of prof. Karel Kuchař were connected to his records in the database GEOBIBLENE. 8 professor's maps were connected as an external link form the Repository of the Charles university.

11. 9. 2013  Czech Geographical bibliography online GEOBIBLINE was presented at the librarians' conference in Olomouc. The presentation focused mainly on news which had happened in the database in recent years. The conference paper was also published in conference proceedings, which is also available online.

29. 5. 2013  Links were connected to the bohemical maps which are available from the database GEOBIBLINE as an external link or directly form the Repositary of the Charles univerisity. Now there are connected 4 031 records. The access is possible due to the project TEMAP.

Older volumes are continuously scanned and connected to the records.

During the years 1913-1939 the journal was published under the title Zeměměřičcký věstník, during the years 1940-1950 under the title Zeměměřičský obzor and during years 1951-1954 under the title Zeměměřičství.

31. 1. 2011 The Czech Geographical Bibliography Online was mentioned in the newsletter of the European Association of Geographers January 2011.

1. 2. 2011 GEOBIBLINE becomes a part of the project TEMAP: Technology for making the map collections of the CR. The project, funded by the Ministry of culture Czech republic, deals with the Faculty of Science Charles University in Prague in cooperation with MZK and MU in Brno. The database will specialize more in cartographic documents and extends the chronological scope.
